Help us Make A Change in a Young Man Life
Late adolescence/young adulthood is a period of constant change and exploration that covers many aspects of their life: home, family, work, school, resources and role according to the State Adolescent Health Resource Center.
Homeless young male adults living on the streets or couch surfing have no resources, support, and most of all no stable housing.
How can these young adults have a chance to become self-supporting and able to sustain self as a young adult transiting into adulthood?
There are so many factors that can cause homelessness, legal issues, addiction, being in the foster care system as a child or teen, no support and or no family.
I'm sure if you look in your own community, you can see the increase in the amount of homeless young males.
You want to make a difference that will bring forth change in someone's life?
Support SMAC by becoming a mentor, volunteer services, donate; monetarily, household supplies or perishable items.

The need for housing for young adults is crucial especially since the impact that COVID-19 has brought as well as the rising numbers of homelessness prior to the pandemic. Support SMAC and be apart of the change!
What's Next?
May 2021
SMAC Sista's Making A Change became two entities. SMAC is now a Non-Profit organization and Sista's Making A Change is a LLC and will provide services to our residents.
SMAC officially obtained our 501c3.
October 2021
SMAC is in the process of obtaining members for our Board of Directors. Official announcements of New Board Members to be announced May 2022
June 2022
First Board Meeting of 22-23 FY was held June 2nd next Board Meeting scheduled for July 17th
Ashley Bennett announced as Vice President of SMAC'S Board of Directors May 20th 2022.
Brenda Luper was announced as Secretary of SMAC's Board of Directors May 20th 2022
SMAC to announce Grand Opening soon!
We are working hard to take the steps necessary to assure the opening of SMAC residential facility. Its our hopes to be up and running by the end of 2023 until then we will continue to work diligently to open our doors as soon as possible.
